- BFR - Biennial Flight Review (now known as FR or Flight review)
- BID - Bidirectional Fiberglass
- BL - Butt Line (Measurements side to side from the centerline of the fusulage)

- FS - Fusulage Stations (Measurements down the length of the fusulage, run parallel to the bulkheads)
- FSS - Flight Service Station

- LOP - Lean Of Peak (running the fuel lean from peak EGT temp)

- METAR - Meteorological Aerodrome Report
- Micro - Epoxy mixed with micro balloons
- MVFR - Marginal Visual Flight Rules

- NORDO - No Radio

- OAT - Outside Air Temperature
P
- Peel Ply - Dacron fabric used to cover the surface of a layup before cure so that when removed it leaves a roughened surface ready for other layups. Also helps to smooth out the layup surface.
- Plastic peel ply - plastic sheet that is used to cover the surface of a layup before cure so that extra epoxy can be removed and the surface smoothed out to remove the weave texture of the glass.
