Resouces

Building an airplane takes a lot time, energy, and knowledge (we won't talk about the financial impact).  So there's a lot of resources that come in handy along the way.  This is a place to store the things that have been useful to me during the build.  I'll add more as they come about.
  • The Unofficial Cozy Builders Website - This is a very good first stop site.  Run by Marc Zeitlin, it holds basic information, performance charts, newsletters, plans corrections, and more.  Go here first to get a good idea of what is happening.
  • The Aeroelectric Connection - Website dedicated to electrical systems in airplanes.  Bob Nuckolls' book covers a wide range of applications for proper wiring of your airplane and is a great source of information.  Well worth buying for when the time comes that you must electrify the craft.
  • Composite Aircraft Finishing - This is a recommended reading for finishing composite aircrafts.  The biggest complaint that you hear about composites is all the sanding.  Personally I don't think sanding is that bad, but then again I haven't reached the finishing stage yet so that could change.  The instructions tell you the method for doing the finish work in less time by only filling once rather than multiple times.  Hopefully it'll help when the time comes.
